Nothing can make a sick team like the Tigers healthy like a trip to Texas!
Monday night, a friend of mine with Comerica got tickets in the Tigers' guest box as a perk for buying Comerica Park's naming rights.
At left is the right field stands at the Ballpark in Arlington, which is a replica of good ol' Tiger Stadium.

Sheffield hit a home run, and the Tigers' shaky pitching held on for an 8-7 win.
They won't win the pennant, but if Sheff gets hot and shows he can still hit, maybe we can get rid of his fat contract.
I see in today's Free Press that "Leyland, Tigers have plan to improve poor division record next season."

This season is over, and Leyland is admitting it.
ReplyDeleteBTW, my source of tickets in Lakeland has left the Tampa Council of BSA. We're on our own next spring.
Don't worry about next spring, I will get it covered even if I have to take out my 80 year old friend that has season tickets by the dugout.
