'Tis a sad day in Lakeland: the Flying Tigers played their final game of the season. Other than a few weeks of Instructional League in September, Tigertown and Joker Marchant Stadium will go without baseball until February when pitchers and catchers report.
As far as wins and losses, it was an unsuccessful season, but the Flying Tigers had an ever-evolving lineup and they sent several players on up to Double A Erie.
"Bless you boys."
Love the photo (as usual) tom, one of your progeny?
ReplyDeleteNo Gregg, I have two daughters (15 and 12). Just a fan at the ballpark who strayed into the path of my camera.
ReplyDeleteI need to befriend Tom as I have never been to Lakeland and I can not think of a better host.
ReplyDeleteChuck, you're always welcome! Maybe you can join us at spring training.
ReplyDeleteI check into my hotel on March 20th next year. Spring Training is less than six months away and I can't wait. Optimism will reign again. Bless you boys!!!
