Brandon Inge

How many of you have noticed how much our team Pitching, Fielding, and Hitting has improved since the release of Brandon Inge?  I was really fed up with all the negativity  that surrounded Inge.  And we went 1-2 this weekend without him.  Who is our next scapegoat??  Oh yeah Delmon Young.  I still believe in our boys, but was disappointed in Inge's  treatment and wish him good luck in Oakland!!

  1. I wish him luck for the rest of his career, as long as it is not in Detroit. He is finished. He might get a brief adrenalin rush in Oakland, but he is done.

The Boyz will be fine. They are going to need a fulltime left fielder at some point, and Scherzer needs to get his act together, otherwise he will be back in Toledo and the Tigers will have Smyly and Turner in the rotation. Look out for Casey Crosby, he is coming fast and the most intriguing guy I saw in the spring was Steven Moya. The kid is fast as a deer, and is 6'7, 210 lbs, and bats lefthanded. Garcia is also a big time outfielder.

The schedule is very kind to them in May and they should be 8-10 games over .500 by June 1st and in the lead the rest of the way.

  2. Let's hope yu're right, Bill,

As long as we're making predictions, Chuck, how long do you think Inge will be in Oakland, and what do you predict his batting average will be at the end of the season?

  3. I am not smart enough to predict his batting average any more than i could predict Delmon Young's or even Albert Puhols at this point. Let's just say respectful.

  4. Speaking of up and coming talent, keep an eye on Nick Castellanos (3B) and Avisail Garcia (RF)with the Flying Tigers. Both are hitting over .400 and are #1 and #2 in the Florida State league in hitting.

  5. P.S. No one doubts Inge is a great guy. I've seen him patiently sign for fans and politely talk to them long after spring training workouts/games. He can still play defense but is finished as an everyday player.
