S.I. came out with this baseball top 100 player-

Althouh i love a good list im not crazy about this one. Miguel Cabrera at #18???? and a note to Cecil's kid- just because you won the home run derby doesn't make you the 11th best player in the league

  1. agree, keith. i'd rank Cabrera higher than 18. hard to argue w/ Pujols as #1. i think it might've been better to make separate lists for hitters and pitchers.

  2. Sizemore over Granderson... especially this year?? Granderson clearly isn't hitting for average, but he waxes Sizemore in every other category. Verlander at #28 is probably fair. The fact that Edwin Jackson is #48 probably stings the Rays -- although Jackson would likely be a lot higher on the list if the Tigers could actually score once in awhile. Last night was a perfect example. When you allow two hits and lose, your hitters should be flogged. Ug. Nice to see Inge on the list at #77. No one could have guessed last year that he'd be a Top 100 player, myself included.

  3. One more thing -- I looked through the list twice and didn't see Carlos Pena in there. Is that possible? I'm still ticked off that he decided to produce after the Tigers gave him every opportunity in the world and he tanked, but after what he's done the past two seasons he deserves to be in the top 100, doesn't he?

  4. A-Rod, Beltran and Tiexeria - all over-rated (and all play in NY. Surprised?

Under-rated - Suzuki and Granderson, cause they play in smaller markets.

It's the way of the world.

  5. Beltran wouldn't make the list if he played in KC or Minnesota.

i wonder if Mark Bueherle will move up from 48th on next years list? he was only on the mound for 32 minutes , that's amazing i wonder what the record is
