Which Detroit native played for the Tigers after winning a batting title earlier in his career with another team?
(Can you name any other players who toiled for the Tigers after winning a batting championship elsewhere? I know at least one.)

ReplyDeleteLeave it to you to double stump me, Tom. I'll bet Bouie can get at least one of these though.
ReplyDeleteSee? While I was saying he would get these, he was posting!!
ReplyDeleteO.K. Bill, I have no hope of getting it right, but hit us with your questions...
(Nice to see you reading ATC again.
I believe Bill Madlock won a batting title with the Cubs before he was traded to the Tigers.
ReplyDeleteFred Lynn also won a batting title before his forgetable stint w/ Detroit.
ReplyDeleteMadlock won four batting titles w/ the Cubs.
ReplyDeleteMadlock also won two batting titles w/ the Pirates, making him the first player to win multiple batting titles with two different teams.
