Trivia Quiz for the Day...


The University of Michigan recently retired the jersey number of one of it's greatest baseball players in a ceremony at Alumni Stadium. Can you name him and the other five (without looking it up on line)who have had such an honor bestowed on them?

    I think Leach played football.

    I thought you guys would have at least gotten one or two here! I'll give you another day, and then tell you that I guessed one right away.

  3. Leach got more press playing football, but he was a two sport person. He was drafted by the Tigers, broke into the Bigs in 1981 and played his last game in 1990.

  4. Chuck, YOU ARE RIGHT! That's the only one I got. The others are Barry Larkin, (most recently inducted) who played there from 1983-1985, Don Lund (1943-45), Moby Benedict (1954-56), Ray Fisher (head coach, 1921-58) and Jim Abbott (1986-88).
