so if people pray to god for a team to win, and it does win, does that mean god likes that team or its players or fans better than the other team? Why would god operate that way? Doesn't he love everyone equally?
ReplyDeleteYou're right, Tom. God loves everybody, and anybody who prays for a sports team victory is a theological idiot.
ReplyDeleteI believe in God, but as you see children get cancer, innocent people go unemployed or homeless, or get killed tragically, you must believe that God doesn't meddle much in our day to day affairs. "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done" is what he taught us to pray, and oh yeah, if you could see your way to helping us eat tonight, I'd greatly appreciate it.
