I can smell first place

I know I know - most of you think our Tigers are not much better than a .500 ball clube, but after last night's impressive victory we are only 1 1/2 game behind the Indians. I am definatley a "homie" Boesch was incredible last night. When the Tigs were ahead 7-2 I looked at "baby" Matthew and said that 7 runs would not be enough tonight, how right I was. To gain first place and stay there we will need stronger pitching. It is working for now and "I'm so excited!!"

    Guess you can call me a "doubtful homer." You know me, pessimistic, yet I root for our guys passionately.
    Great little story here: while networking for "my next big job" somebody invited me to the game tomorrow night!

    Anybody look at Granderson's stats lately? Still certain that was a great trade?

    I still love the trade. I am so thrilled for Granderson, but in the long run Jackson and Sherzer certainly make up for Granderson

    I agree, Chuck. Great trade. For Granderson and Edwin Jackson we got Austin Jackson, Scherzer, Schlereth and Coke. All have contributed to Detroit.
