The returns on investment rarely pay off. If, however, Ilitch wants to throw money around I'd sign Max and deal Price or let him go as a FA after this season and get a draft pick for him. He did not impress me w/ Detroit this year. Cesspits will do fine in LF and at bat but I think the Tigers gave up too much for him (Porcello). You can always get an outfielder but not a good young pitcher. I doubt Uptn has anything to do w/ JV's pitching. He's older and has a lot of miles on his arm.
